Merete Witkovsky (Mer-ay-tuh Wit-kov-ski) is the Legal Assistant at Ostrom Law Office. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College in 2022 with a major in International Studies and an academic concentration in Human Rights and Humanitarianism. Merete mostly works on family-based immigration cases and day-to-day office work.

Merete was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. She enjoys the Wisconsin/Minnesota sports rivalry, but won’t say which state she roots for to keep the peace. Merete discovered her interest in immigration law during her International Human Rights course at Macalester. As a student, she volunteered as an immigration court observer and interned with a refugee resettlement agency in the Twin Cities. Merete enjoys her work at Ostrom Law Office and helping clients achieve their immigration goals.
